Below are the top 5 beers made in Michigan. You can disagree with the list but you would be wrong. And if you feel strongly enough about a different beer, post your thoughts in the comments section and I will dismantle you with straight FACTS.
1) No Rules – Perrin Brewery
Number 1 on the list of craft beers is a vietnamese porter aged in bourbon barrels – whatever that means. It’s sweet, delicious, and STRONG. Drink one bomber and you will be on the floor.
2) M43 – Old Nation
This is a NE style ipa. If you don’t know what that means, stop reading this list. It’s juicy, hoppy, and cloudy. Just how I like it.
3) Flying Buffalo – Griffin Claw
This is a bourbon barrel stout. It has an amazing mouthfeel, with chocolate notes upfront, and finishes with a sweet bourbon taste.
4) The Juice is Loose – Transient Artisan Ales
Another NE style ipa. The east coast style ipa’s are where it’s at. The old school IPAs that are crystal clear are out and for a good reason. They taste boring.
5) Black Note Stout – Bell’s Brewery
This beer barely made the list. It tastes great but so do many bourbon style stouts but I thought at least one beer from the most infamous brewery in michigan should make the list.
Above is hands down the most killer list of craft beers brewed in Michigan. Drink them or die.
